A Heart Healthy Life

At 5:30 a.m. I am in chapel praying ~ exercising to keep my heart loving and compassionate. At 9:00 a.m. I am at the gym exercising to keep my heart healthy and strong and my body in good condition. At the gym, it's about "doing" something. It's about strenuous activity. In the chapel, it's about "being" and accepting God's invitation to "Be still and know that I am God". God does the work but I have to be there. Both demand discipline and both are important for a heart healthy life. I feel so good after my physical exercises ~ I have more energy. The same is true after my spiritual exercises. I feel energized, more alive, and full of life. Joy fills my heart. What a great way to start my day!
