Chosen One

The Sanctuary is prepared for Mass, the celebrants are gathered and the Word of God is proclaimed at Sr. Raymonde’s final profession!
Candle in hand, Sister kneels before God and pronounces her vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience for a lifetime commitment as a Servant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. She receives the blessed ring, sign of her covenant with God and of her belonging to the Congregation. Radiant with joy, Sister Raymonde signs the profession register, followed by Sr. Celyne representing the Congregation and Father Vachon representing the Church.
What a wonderful moment for all of us Sisters! Everyone eagerly comes forward to give Sister a great big hug ~ sign of sisterly affection. In Sr. Raymonde’s words, “August 15, 2011 will remain seared in my memory and in my heart forever.”
